If you pulled the distributor your distrubutor may not be in time with No1 piston. Remove the sparkplug near the radiator and hold your thumb over the plug hole while a helper slowly cranks the engine until you feel pressure against your thumb. Then drop a long plastic straw on top of the piston then have the helper to keep slowly cranking while you watch the straw rise. When it quits rising your No1 piston should be at TDC on the compression stroke. Remove the cap and see where your rotor is pointing. Should be pointing to the No1 plug tower. If the rotor is off you need to pull the distrubutor and rotate the rotor so its points to the No1 plug tower which is about 1 o'clock and then reinstall it. Hal
