Well, I learned something today. I knew that the MD is a little longer than the Gas M, but I always thought it was a difference in the length of the side rails due to the longer engine. I guess it must be that they use different (and longer) front bolsters. The parts info has different part numbers for the M and MD for both the side rails and the front bolsters. Next time I have an opportunity, I'm going to take a look and compare those parts on an M and MD. I don't have a gas M, only an MD.
