I cannot get my TD9 to start on gas. I had it running good two months ago, but I left it sit outside and now nothing. If I remove the crankcase breather tube and spray ether into the intake, I can get it to fire up, so I don't think there is an ignition problem. It will run as long as I spray ether into it. Also the plugs looked dry after cranking the motor. I've had the carb. off twice to clean it, and I changed the gas in the tank, without any results. It just seems like it's not getting fuel, but there is gas in the carb bowl. I had put a new float in the carb this spring, so I'm wondering if the float level could be affecting it. Also, there is only one brass tube to bring the fuel from the bowl into the throttle body (like a pilot jet). There is a small hole in the side of the tube near the top. How does this draw fuel with the hole at the top? Its starting to frustrate me, since it started so well two months ago and nothing should have changed. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
