To ltf in nc; No, I don't think there was any change that happened right before all of this started happening and it has been frustrating since you never really know if it is fixed for a while until the plugs foul out again. But, you have given me some really good tips on how I might try to isolate and correct the thing. I think you may have really hit on something when you mentioned if the adjustments have a direct affect on how the engine runs, as I don't think it affects it much at all, but will verify that again. I may try to find another carb and put it on unless I can find something obvious pretty soon. Two different shops took apart the carb and put in overhaul kits in the carb, but I am not sure they would know if there was a missing part or something, since they don't deal with this type of carb very much. It does have a fuel pump, which I added to my list of spare parts trying to fix this thing. I will check out the input air supply, the adjustments, and try to swap carbs with someone if I can find one. Thanks a million for your help.
