20's to 50's Factories

I beg to disagree with the guru on the skill of the factory workers of that generation. At least regarding the engineers, machinists, and foundrymen that engineered Americas best tractors, autos, and airplanes, so many examples of which are serviceable and delivering very high performance today. As regards the line workers relative to today's, consider how they kept their jobs and kept from getting eaten by the machines, long before OSHA, 40 hr weeks, worker's comp, lawsuits, and union grievence arbitration. I'd say youd have to pretty sharp just to see a payday back then.
