I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I unbolted the springs and took the old seat off. But, when I went to go back with the new one, it don't want to fit right. To get the springs to line up with the holes, I've got to push them in A LOT. Then the release rod on the bottom is over lapping the springs and will not latch or unlatch (just like the old one) and the seat will move just not freely (just like the old one). I put the new seat on just like the old one came off (seeing a pattern). My old seat was rusted out and the springs were welded together and all screwed up so I don't know how it's supposed to act but this doesn't seem right. Are the springs supposed to be setting square or is one side to be ahead of the other? If so, which side? I don't know what to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,Todd.
