For things like that, I keep some PVC pipe fittings and threaded adapters. You can screw the threaded pvc adapter in and just stick in the smooth pvc fitting to get her to drain where you want. Of course I am assuming you have threads on the exit side of the valve you installed. That is also how I fill the transmissions, etc. For filling, you can even add a reducer and go up to 3 or 4 inch. Makes it easy to fill.
