Just wondering if people like to use genuine oil filters on their tractors or aftermarket filters? The IH dealers here have at last made the price of Farmall M filters more reasonable than in the past. A filter is now $17 instead of $65. So I have bought a couple and will see how they go. Happily my Farmall H takes the same filter, so I don't need two sizes.
I did once make the grievous error of using a Ryco R117P filter. If you like a filter which is difficult to fit and falls to pieces in service and then requires pliers to remove the debris, I have a couple left over and would very nearly pay someone to take them away.
Any suggestions or preferences for other filters? I believe Baldwin are well regarded, but I had trouble getting the sealing rings with their filters in the past, and their retailers know how to charge in Australia!
