The clutch Friction plate is installed flat side towards the engine.
All the fingers were the same height
There is approx 1 in of freeplay in the pedal I tried using less but that didnt help
I did replace the pilot bearing(greased) as well as the release bearing. I think the pilot bearing dragging might be the problem I have a gut feeling
I was reading on this forum one person had a similar problem, but was due to a transmission assembly error ( I didn't work on the tranny) and another member mentioned that the splines could be catching the plate
Andrew, Its def not the gears I put the tractor in 1st and turned the engine with the crank with the clutch in (with help) The tractor moves about 2 inches then the clutch slips.
The pilot bearing does not have to be bored after installation right?
I will try messing with the pedal adjustment but I will most likely split the tractor and check on the pilot bearing and the splines on the shaft. When I figure out the problem I will be sure to keep everyone informed. Thanks for the Help, any advice is greatly appreciated!!
