Something made that gasket blow, the head is perfect, i pulled the oil pan and did the boiling water in the water jacket trick and NO water on the cardboard after a couple hours....
The water jacket is extremly rusted around all the cylindars and it looks thick, is it supposed to be that rusted and could it be making it over heat or could it have a crack that only opens under pressure?
I was given a block off an M today, it was a runner but needs a complete rebuild but should have no cracks (Ill get it checked out first to make sure)......WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!! I have the money for the rebuild but if theres nothing wrong with the motor (and its normal for that much rust after 65 years) I would rather not spend the money....Any words of advice would be great...thanks Anthony
