As Jim said and if you think about it hold old is that head gasket that blew??? All it takes is to over heat and engine one time to many and yes they will blow a head gasket. Vinegar should do the trick heat it pour it in let it cool and strain it and do it again. May take 2 or 3 time to get it all unless you want to pull it all the way apart and have the block boiled out
