NO, you should put all coats on with a 10-15 minute wait between coats. Forget sanding between coats -- why are you doing it? If you have orange peel, or lint in the paint (like I get), put on all coats, then sand with 1200-1500-2000, and buff it out. I will say I routinely do that with urethane, not the modified alkyd enamel that 2150 is. I believe the only paint that is sanded between coats is acrylic lacquer, which IMO is the worlds worst paint. For 2150, I do not know the recoat time for recoating if you mess up or decide you need another coat. But since it may have sat too long I would sand with 400 then put on the next two coats. 1500 may not give the recoat enough bite. The can may or may not tell you what the recoat time is. If it does, then that may be the reason you are sanding between coats, but that is not what it means.

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
