5th gear in H's & M's isn't a true "Gear Meshing with another gear" so I doubt it's a broken tooth. Almost sounds more like it might be a bearing getting bad on your input shaft causing your constant mesh gears to run together diffently. Or the drive yoke getting loose on the input shaft causing the bearings to loosen up. But then It would seem like it would make the noise in ANY gear or even when sitting still doing PTO work. The fact it goes away under coast is a good thing. If it was a bad bearing or gear it should still keep making the noise.
