Not sure if I remember every step, but should be close. Remove the big cover, remove the clutch plates and drive shaft. Remove a snap ring holding the clutch brake drum on the splined bull pinion shaft. 6 special bolts hold the plate cover was atached to. After the plate is removed pull the adapter piece that takes the place of the IH bull pinion retainer and then the M&W bull pinion. After the clutch plates are out of the drum you may be able to remove the special bolts through the holes in the drum and pull all out at the same time. Think I did that once but can't remember for sure. No need to remove the differential and bull pinion bearing support housing. Use regular size bolts to replace the special bolts retaining the housing. 400 will have all the parts needed to put back like IH. Good time to put a new seal in the bull pinion bearing retainer and maybe a O ring on it if needed.
