I thought I read somewhere that 12 volt was an option on m's. Did I dream that?
My 1950 M was 12 volt when I bought it. Delco # on the generator crosses to the same one on a 400. Were the diesels 12 volt on those? Only reason I ask is that it is all neatly done and the starter is a two bolt 12 volt. Most folks just kept the old starter is why I ask. Maybe someone had the old one wound for 12 volt? Seemed pretty professional for a farmer engineered job.
