A friend has a McCormick planter that we do not know if it is a 449 or a 449A, any way to tell? It has the steel seed boxes and the fiberglass square fertilizer boxes with single disk fertilizer openers that are shot as well as the star fertilizer feed wheel.the disk openers look to have been about 10". It has the double disk seed openers that look to have been 12". And the bearing is falling apart in one. Does anybody know witch planter this is and would you have a parts book you could scan the pages for me. That way I could get some part numbers to try to find the parts for him. He is Amish so has no electricity, phone or computor. He did not get a book for it when he bought it this spring and I was going to try to find one at the show-swap meat thursday but he was set up but not open. Anybody know of a parts planter that would have these parts or of any complete planters with the clutch lift within hauling distance of Monroe, Indiana as anouther friend wants one.
