I had a similiar problem with a super A. It turned out that mice had built a nest in the bell housing. An acorn had jammed between the ring gear and the inside of the bell housing.
I would pull the round cover on the bottom of the bell housing and see if it is full of junk. If it is clean it out, and then put the tractor in 4th gear and rock the tire backwards. This should free anything that is jammed up in there. Good luck.
