$350 - 51 Cub Looks like the owner was in the process of converting the tractor to 12 volt. I have what looks like a very small alternator newer 6 volt battery and what I am assuming is the original voltage regulator and some new wiring. The alternator has no mounting bracket. How best to fashion a new bracket for the alternator ? Also it was my original idea to do what ever it took to get it to start just to make sure transmission and touch control worked. Than do a major tear apart but having read other posts I wonder. 3 cylinders have close to 100 compression #1 has only 20. I haven't put oil in the cylinder yet to see if that helps. Spark plugs came out very Black. Will I do any harm if it runs long enough to try these things out. Of course this assumes I can get it to run at all.
