I am currently weighing my options for what cultivating tractor I will buy next year. I have more or less come to the conclusion that the 140 will be the best fit for my farm. We are a small farm producing our crops intensively on just over 2 acres. I worked on a farm years ago with 3 cultivating tractors (cub, super a and JD 900hc). The cub was used for single row crops while the 900hc was used with a basket weeder for 5 rows on our 60inch beds. I really liked the basket weeder, for time saved on intensively grown crops such as carrots and salad mixes. I have found little to no information on using the basket weeder on a 140. Does anyone have experience with this setup? If not, what is the slowest working ground speed I should expect while cultivating with a 140? Using the cub I felt like I was flying through the fields, which was fine for widely spaced rows with crops such as cabbage and beans. While using the 900hc I was crawling through the fields, but when I was watching the crops I felt like I was speeding along a 20mph. Any perspective would be helpful. Thanks Brian

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
