Cutting corn with the 1586 today in mid 90's temp in tall heavy corn. Exhaust temp spiked a few times to 1100 for about 10 seconds whenever I get into a tall green stretch, for the most part it was running 980-1020. Higher than it has been this past week cutting, but corn is heavier and temperature has been hotter. The exhaust temp warning light has been set at 1080 since I bought it four years ago. I don't use it for much heavy work except the chopper, so this is the only time the exhaust temp becomes an issue. What is safe operating temp and what is the high temp warning suppose to be set at. Thanks for any information.
