At about 1350 the China syndrome occurs and then it Huston we have a problem here and ya melt a piston out of her . I am not so worried about the hair dryer as the pistons. And the other thing to worry about is melting the probe off and sending it thru the turbo. Back in the day i pushed my Cummings NTC way past the reason of sanity and egt temps of 950 on the cold side of the charger as if i would have had the prob before the charger it would have melted off.
