i'd try to find the problem with yours being you installed all those new parts could be something simple,years ago i put a rd 406 ih back in a truck for a man after he rebuilt it, started it up oil gauge started falling started knocking also, man was upset as the engine prior to this one turned the bearings shortly after being rebuilt because of the pressure relief valve was stuck open because of a small piece metal lodged in it,this time he installed rod bearings that the boxes were marked .030 under and had standard bearings in them, carried them back to the parts house they had another set boxed wrong still on the shelf,changed the bearings it was alright
