Since a couple of people have mentioned a handyman jack (or high-lift jack), can someone help me out with just exactly what these are and where I could find one? I followed up on Bart's suggestion and found an 8 ton "long hand jack" (bottle jack) on NorthernTool.com - it seems reasonably priced at $64.99. For now, I was able to take the weight off the rear wheel (using a floor jack under the drawbar angle) just enough to slide the wheel out on the axle about 1". Good news is that I now don't think I need to replace a wheel bearing - the inside clamp just wasn't tight!
