I am looking at buying an IH 966 tractor off of a good friend. He is telling me when their loader was on it, the hydraulics were very slow to operate the loader (they are used to running backhoe loaders not tractor loaders). Now the tractor is for sale without the loader. My thoughts are to change hydraulic filter first, if that doesn't work I am assuming it is the pump getting weak. Can I continue to operate this tractor for cuttting and raking hay with a weak pump or change it right away? Where is the pump location? Any suggestions would be of great help, I am going to look at it again tonight. Thanks
