What does your tack lens look like? Is it real clear and shiney? If it is it shouldn't be all of the originals are dull and cracked. If yours is real nice someone replaced the lens with an aftermarket lens. I did that on one and it took me four tries assembling it before it worked correctly. The tiniest movement or misalinement of the gasket or lens ring and the needle hangs up. Is the inner square shaft of the tach turning?
