If my 1466 sits for a few days it won't pick up oil pressure. I can remove the filters and pour some oil in the filter base and it will immediately pick up pressure and run 60 to 65psi all day pulling an 18ft disc. the front crank seal is leaking fairly heavily, is it possible that its allowing air to get into the pump and causing the pump to loose its prime? I'm going to replace the pump and seal, any other suggestions? Also, the tractor is a 1971 model and has a multicolored tach, is this correct or did someone swap tachs that showed lower hours, I bought it used a couple of years ago.
