Here is my update: Armed with all kinds of good info from this site, I rewired the M to 6 volt pos ground. Still no response from the generator. Amp meter runs correctly (discharge 12 amps w/ lights on) and it started fine Saturday. It didn't start Sunday. I put a little starting fluid down the air intake to see it was fuel related. No pops of any kind. So I am thinking it's electrical. This tractor still has the magneto. I popped the cap and rotor to check for damage and could find none. Also peeked under the mag cover but didn't go any deeper. Tried taking the kill switch out of the loop and checked/cleaned each plug wire one at a time as well. I have yet to have someone crank it while I look at an exposed plug. I am hoping this tractor doesn't have a yellow-colored Florida citrus label under the red paint. Any ideas? It's probably something simple but after several hours of installing its new loader and having it not start makes one less happy. It seems like the 12 volt conversion might be in order since I cannot get anything out of the generator. Jim

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
