Ok, going to ask some really dumb questions,I think iam looking at this all wrong!,my thinking is this, when i removed shifter from transmission plate and saw the shifter lever end rewelded i assumed that this is the damaged part?, my 1st question is which way does the shift lever face?, I assumed by your photo of yesterday that the flared end of shift lever would move the shift rails?,i dont have any flaring,thus causing my problem Ihave more questions ill post later, thanks Jim!!!!!!
