Gene, We fought a 400 engine the same way, tried everything that has been suggested including all the spark plug options. Finally took a couple of five gallon pails to town and tried ethonal, cleared right up so now that is all we use in all our gas equipment. If you are in an area that has ethanal think about trying it. ralph
