I place mine so the wind cant blow them open when (hauling) them down the road. Cans work very nicely as long as you dont forget to take them off before you start them. See we had a 90 hp single cylinder gas engine one time that had about a 12 inch exhaust pipe. To cover the exhaust pipe we used a 5 gallon galvanized steel bucket. We started that thing one day without taking the bucket off. That can sailed into the air about 100 feet, you want to talk about some people hauling butt to get out from under that bucket. :)
