Sounds like an OLD mixture of Antifreeze and water leaking. OLD fluid of that type would have a distinctive smell, and when a leak happens, it could leak enough to make a pool under the tractor. I'm going on a whim, but I presume you don't know Alot about tractors. Pictures would be great if you could get them, and then we could help you better. There are only 4 fluids in that tractor, Antifreeze/Water Mix (front), Hydraulic and Motor Oil (engine area), and 90 weight gear oil (rear area). The gear oil is similar to motor oil in sight but much, much thicker.
