I bought a 54 Super C tractor with a fast hitch/3-point, and front blade two summers ago. I also bought a 3-point finish mower, and it worked great for the two summers. The first winter I did not get enough snow to use the front blade, but this winter I went out to the barn and started the Super C to push some snow, and soon as it started it made a weird noise. I tried to raise the front blade and nothing happened, then I tried to raise the fast hitch and still nothing happened. I was thinking that there is water in the hydraulic fluid that was frozen. I"m planning to change the hydraulic fluid this spring. I was thinking of buying the fluid at Tractor Supply, or should I spend a little more at a International Dealership, and how much do I need to buy?
