I worked at the Farmall Plant when these tractors were introduced & built. The frt axles were a problem at first.(made in Japan) but They got the bugs worked out of them. Great Motor. Hood Latch was a joke. We shipped more replacement hoods than tractors some months. I guess the pivot bushings wear after a lot of hours. Driveshafts & transfer case need to be serviced as recommended. Don't put duals on the frt wheels, and pull your 5-bottom equipment faster, don't pull 6 or 7 bottoms and you'll be fine. Neighbor runs his 3588 over his 1066 & 1466. That DT-466 really roars!
