Hi guys, A friend has a UK made 1975 IH 574. He bought it about a year ago and used it enough to find that most things worked but things like the steering needed attention. He finds now after it standing under cover through the winter that the 3-point is seized in the fully 'up' position. It can't be lifted any further. The rods for the automatic hitch are also under tension. We have made sure that the linkage from the control lever is free and tentatively tried to tap the linkage down with a hammer. It certainly seems that it is not a hydraulic locking it seems more like a mechanical lock to hold the linkage up. It's THAT solid!!! Any suggestions as to the cause and what is needed to cure it would be much appreciated. Thanks DavidP, South Wales

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
