I'll be honest, I don't know anything about the Heisler, But it is NOT an M&W 9 spd. if You can use it in 5th. You only have so many RPM going into the transmission. The M&W 9-spd was a 2 spd constant mesh gear set at the very frt of the transmission. Power goes in on the top shaft and RPM is reduced to the lower shaft where the PTO & Hyd. pump drive off. So with the M&W you had more Hyd. flow And faster PTO too. and Hi 1st was faster than low 4th I believe just like a Fuller Road-Ranger truck transmission. M&W made both a cable and lever shifter for them. I wrote M&W a letter about 10-15 yrs ago and they said they still had a few parts left for them then. Dad had one on a '47 M way back before I could do field work. He really liked it, liked it almost better than the SM-TA he trasded it in on.
