OK guess I need some new perspective on this as I'm at a loss.
Tractor runs rough at idle, lacks power in 4th/5th gear and randomly dies after its warmed up.
-Fuel tank just got lined and I have verified good fuel flow to the carb. -I completely disassembled and cleaned the carb and put back together with rebuild kit. Also got new idle metering jet as the old one was broken off and had to be drilled. Choke plate was bent and I straightened that out. Venturi looks like it has been dropped a few times. -Adjusted the governor per instructions found in the archives. -Checked for manifold leaks while tractor was running with propane torch, found nothing. -Valves are adjusted and cylinders have 125-135psi compression. -Air cleaner is free of obstruction and has new oil to the proper level. -All new electrical: plugs and wires, points, condenser, coil, rotor, alternator, battery and cables, wiring.
I ran around with carb issues for a while. Not sure if I am still have carb issues or if it is electrical as it only seams to die after it warm. If it is electrical, what do I start checking?
