Right or wrong, my 6 volt 1950 "H" used to get stuck when I tried to start it, I got tired of loosening up the starter and reattaching it. I put 12 volt alternator and battery on it. Spins so fast now it never has got stuck since. I have heard that is not the thing to do, but worked for me. So far.
