Bob R I have not yet looked at the points. I was just so happy when the ammeter showed charge that it broke my heart when it died and wouldn't start back up. Of course I'm only assuming it is electrical related. Maybe it could be a plugged up gas line ( I have inline fuel filter and seddiment bowl, but the tank has a lot of rust). When it died it sounded like it ran out of gas, and the gas line has been a problem before. Chances are though it is electrical. When I get new points, if needed, what do I get? Will generic 12 volt tractor points do since the original Farmall points I go looking for will probably be for 6 volts. I'm just going to take the rest of the evening off and see what other ideas generate, then take a crack at it tomorrow. Thank you.
