Gents, I am looking for solutions....hopefully local solutions. The gas tank on my 51 Cub is heavily rusted and there are three small holes near the bottom edge (I knew this going into the project). I want to have the tank professionally cleaned and then repaired. I have put a chain in it and soaked diesal in it, but it still is full of rust. Shaking this is not easy and I doubt it would remove all flakey rust! I am on the good side of this project and want to preserve the original metal and I am willing to pay....
Anyone have any suggestions on services that offer or where in the Houston, Tx area I might look? What kind of services normally do this?
