Depends on the ratings of the pump. A 340's pump is roughly the same output as a Super C, which is 5 or 6 GPM as I recall. The steering needs about 3GPM if I'm not mistaken, and the 3GPM left really isn't much for other things.
A Super M's live pump is 12GPM so it should be okay.
The important thing is to connect the priority valve correctly. Priority circuit goes to steering. If you put the wrong circuit to the steering, you'll need to keep the tractor revved up to get anything.
