I am a recent new owner of a lovely 1937 Farmall F-12 with a rusted, now leaking intake manifold. It was running perfectly until a thin rusted area let go and caused a large intake air leak. I have a new replacement manifold and the old one fully loosened, ready to be removed, but the vertical governor shaft is preventing sliding the old manifold horizontally enough to clear its' mounting studs. I don't readily see how it is removed. I have removed the surrounding tower assembly and upper linkage. There is a locknut with cotter pin at the shaft's base I have removed... does the upper shaft unscrew from the lower portion at the bearing, or below it perhaps, within the housing? I don't want to force anything until I know the proper dis-assembly steps. Any guidance would greatly be appreciated... Thank you!
