THE ROD IDEA might work or could break a rod which could cost about $50-to 75 to replace. T-Bone is right, try some vinger or diet cola. the acid in the coke breaks the rust up. i used on a super A engine, worked better than vinger or Kroil oil. i have also used an air hammer with a hammer head and 3/8 or 1/2" disk above the pinton.
