Thanks Bergen, I'll give it a try. I had seen in the operators manual the wiring diagram for battery ignition shows a separate regulator mounted below the light switch box. The wiring diagram for magneto does not show the regulator. But I now see that the electronics inside the light switch box for the magneto is different from the electronics in the light switch box for battery ignition. I dont really see why there are two wiring modes, maybe it has nothing to do with magneto vs battery, and is just a change in the design.
