New is good. It may be that the fuel is just not getting to the carb, or through the needle and seat fast enough to supply the demand. it could also have new dirt in the carb main jet system. The fact that the idle mix screw no longer has an effect, is indicating dirt. I would put a thin wire through each passage and then follow with carb cleaner. A failing coil can make the symptoms you describe. Not as likely as dirt, but possible. Jim
