I am installing the automatic row marker controller in my 1586. The connections look like some Packard 56 connectors I found on line and I need to install a couple on a fused link I am inserting in between the control box and the light harness hookup. None of which matters, but I thought I would mention it.
My question is the procedure for installing these connectors. There is a crimp on metal connector and then a black plastic cover. The covers snap together to lock the connection. Do I put the wire thru the cover before crimping on the connector or do I crimp on the connector and then insert it into the cover? Anyone familiar with these? Thanks!
