Ok! I told everyone I'd give a report on what I've accomplished on my 560d this weekend.I timed the tractor at 20 degrees btdc on the compression stroke by pulling glow plug and feeling air coming from glow plug hole. I then put air on #1 port on the pump and felt the the shaft lock in place. I reinstalled the three bolts on the timing gear and reinstalled all remaining hardware. After pull starting the tractor and letting it run about 10 minutes,I shut the tractor off and managed to start again by turning it over using a whiff on gas on a rag.I hit the glow plugs about a minute before trying to start it and the glow plug meter pegged out as it should have with brand new glow plugs. The glow plugs are above the injector lines. This was the only time I could get it started by turning it over. I noticed the tractor smoked quite a bit when it was running and a fair amount of blowby coming from tube. The starter had smoke coming out of it after 10 seconds of turning over even if I let it set for a while.I'm thinking it may need rebuilt because it doesn't seem to turn over as fast as it used to.

I've replaced the cables and used two 12 volt hot batteries with no change how fast it turns over.Still fighting it,but not giving up!ARKIE
