Right the tractor will not move when it is low on fluid and/or it is frozen, ie below 32 degrees. I assume the frozen part is condensed water in the fluid and filter. A couple of times it has run low on fluid and the same thing, will not move, but....bucket will lift and tilt, three point will lift, power take off works, but no clutch or steering. It all works always when there is fluid and it is not freezing cold. I got an air lock a couple of times when it ran low on fluid, I overfilled it about four or five gallons and it picked right up and started working. I have owned the tractor for four or five years and have had very little other problems with it. Old and slow but does the jobs I need it for. I have the filter out and am getting a new one today. Hope that will solve some of the problems as it was pretty stopped up. Should I go ahead and drain the fluid completely or just pull a plug and test to see if any water is in the rear end?? It has been setting for about a week now and I would think that most of the water should be settled?? And.......trust me you have been a great help, hope I can keep picking your brain!! Thanks.
