Your problem is probably the rev. shifter shaft and maybe the shifter fork. When people start slamming them the little woodworf key way gets beat out and you end up with slop , and with the geometry a little adds up to a lot . Sooo pull the deck and unhook all lines and linkage pull the side cover off and pull the shifter cover and then see if the rev . shifter fork moves on the shaft . This has to be TIGHT no movement at all.
