The Cub wiil never match the 8-n for power. My 1960 Cub amazes me in that it will lift the front wheels off the ground in a hard pull. More power would create a dangerous situation where the tractor could flip backward, which I also did with a different brand of tractor in 1972. Maybe the Lord had duties for me here for a while longer. When younger, I despised the Cub because of it's shortcomings. Now my Cubs and my wife are appreciated for what they are, not despised for what they are not. I suggest enjoying the Cub in it's original form.
