I have done several things to my Cub. I had to rebuild it anyways, blowed a head gasket and broke off a head bolt. I bored it out and put .015 over rings in it. I had the head milled .035. I left the valves alone as they were in good shape. I also bought a new Zenith carb and put it on. Needless to say for a Cub it has plenty of power and runs very well. I pull a tandem 4ft. disk with no problems now. The orignal Cub disk were only a single gang. I can pull a 6ft., but the cub don't have enough butt to handle it and it makes a little more loadd than I like. But it sure does run my belly mower well now. Bill {Antique Acres}
